The RCMS Book Fair will be open Oct. 2nd - Oct. 6th during school hours Mon.-Fri. Students will get a chance to visit the Fair and make "wish lists" to take home. The link below has information for the Book Fair, and also an option to set-up a Digital Wallet for students to be able to purchase from, if needed.
On Tuesday 10/3, we will have a Family Night. The Book Fair will be open 4-6 PM , a Parent Workshop on "Iready at Home" will begin at 4:30 (students who come will be able to participate in a rock painting station while parents learn about Iready) and the the first RCMS PTO Meeting (with officer elections) will start promptly at 5:30. Light Refreshments will be available.

The Blazer Leader Program has launched! Each month, we are looking for students who portray certain character traits . In the month of August, teachers nominated a handful of students who showed "Responsibility". One student from each grade level was them selected as the Blazer Leader of the month. Congratulations to Julianna Thomas, Sadie Elliott, Caylee Hyde, and Adalyn Thompson.

Monday - Blazers Win 205-230! Talan McBrayer was the medalist with 48, followed by Zach Hartness (51), Bentley Myers (53), Logan Martin (53), Brennan Edwards (57) and Jaxson Elrod (65).
Tuesday's Home Match : Blazers trail Edison by 1 point. (Edison 209, Ritchie 210, Catholic 257). Bentley (47), Talan (47), Zach (57), Brennan (59), Logan (62), Jaxson (70). 47 was the lowest for the match.

The next Pack of Plenty Distributions for Ritchie County Students will will be Sept. 20th and Oct. 4th at the FRN office (Please Note: FRN will be at new location in Oct), Sept. 21st or Oct. 5th at Pennsboro location . Smithville area is not avialble at this time. . Distribution is also available in Auburn/Berea by contacting the number provided. See the flyer for additional information.

Attendance Matters at RCMS!
Each week, 1st period classroom attendance is calculated and our hot air balloons are put up on the bulletin board. The Top 3 classes with the highest percentage of attendance get to pick a treat from the Prize Cart. Students enjoy watching the competition board each week to see who wins.
