Students from Ritchie County participated in the Regional Math Field Day at WVU Parkersburg on Monday. What a great group of students! They put forth their very best effort and came away with two students placing as alternates to go to the State Math Field Day Competition. Congratulations to all of these students for winning the local competition and earning the privilege to compete for our county.
Congratulations to these students that will be going on to the State Social Studies Fair. We want to wish them luck and thank them for their hard work on their projects.
Mrs. Burwell’s 2nd Grade really had a chance to bring history to life. It’s evident by the looks on the faces of these children that they enjoyed this unit of instruction.

This week is National School Counseling Week. We would like to thank Kayleigh Board for supporting all our elementary students.
This is a quick look at the help tools available to our high school students on the county website.
Once again when you click on the explore button, you also have a choice to see student tools. There are a variety of helps available to students. These vary depending if you are in elementary, middle or high school.
When you click on your school, be sure to check out the Explore button at the top. Today’s picture takes you to the valuable tools for the parents.
The other button at the bottom of the app is to pick your school. Each school works to keep you informed of important dates. These can be found by their gallery of pictures and in their events section. Click on your school and check it out.
Special services are also available to assist you and your child on the website app. The technology section might help you if you are struggling with technology at home. Please feel free to reach out if you need help.
2 buttons show up at the bottom of the website app. The menu button and the school button. The menu button is explored here. I especially like the link to the grander scale of the website. You can find so much information here. Check it out.
Ritchie County Schools would like to take time to express our sincere appreciation to Betsy Wells for her years of dedicated service to the Board of Education. Thanks so much!
Ritchie County Schools will be operating on a 2 Hour Delay Monday January 22nd, 2024.
The app look takes you quickly to 3 important pieces of information. The LiveFeed post which gives you a quick view of any recent posts. This would give you information about NTI days for example. Events is a quick calendar to let you know what is happening at your school. The third part is a quick look at the days meals.
The county website has an app you can download or you can go to ritchieschools.com.
We have had an interesting week. Interesting weeks sometimes leave us wanting more information. Check out the county website to gain valuable information you might need. Keep an eye out for website help pages coming soon.
