Celebrating our senior girls! RCHS would like to congratulate our Lady Rebel Seniors Jordin Bailey and Emily Bush.
Ritchie County High School is joining with WVDE and celebrating Public Schools Week. To kick off the celebration, please help us GO RED for PUBLIC ED tomorrow, Friday February 20th. We encourage our staff, students, and community members to show their love for Ritchie County High School by wearing red tomorrow.

This week is a busy week for our athletes as we have some make-up games scheduled for this week.
Tuesday- Wrestling at North Marion at 4pm and our Girls Varsity Basketball will begin their LKC tournament play at Roane County at 7:00pm.
Wednesday- Girls Varsity Basketball travels to Frontier at 7:00pm
Thursday- Girls JV and Varsity Basketball at Cameron starting at 6:00pm, Boys JV and Varsity basketball play at home vs South Harrison.
Friday- JV and Boys Basketball at Tyler Consolidated at 6:00pm; Girls Varsity Basketball will have their 2nd round of the LKC tournament. Time, opponent, and place TBA.
Saturday- Wrestling will be traveling to St Marys (LKC Championship). Archery will be traveling to New Martinsville with flights beginning at 2:00pm. The Championship Girls Basketball LKC tournament at the WACO Center. Times will be announced.

RCHS would like to welcome our new high school counselor Haley Fletcher! She has a passion to support our students' personal growth and their academic goals. Stop by and welcome her to RCHS!
Ritchie County High School has earned the prestigious Jennings Randolph Award for Civic Engagement for the 2025-2026 School Year. To earn this award, RCHS had to get at least 85% of their current senior class registered to vote (of those that are eligible). RCHS nominated two students who organized the student-led voter registration drive at the school, Isaac Hodges and Carter Satterfield. These students have been named Honorary Secretaries of State by the current Secretary of State Kris Warner. These two students had the opportunity to discuss the role and responsibilities of WV State Secretary with Kris Warner.
Along with our RCHS students, Ritchie County Clerk Angela Hardbarger, County Commissioners Randall Riggs, Steve Ritter, and Kenny Church, Senator Trenton Barnhart, and Chief Deputy Clerk Jessica Hodges met with the WV Secretary of State.
Ritchie County Schools is super proud of these two students! Way to go Rebels!

Ritchie County has utilized the allowed 5 NTI days and 5 Inclement Weather "Snow Days" and will be adjusting the calendar as follows: Last Day of School for Students is now May 29, 2026.
May 28th and May 29th are now instructional days.
Ritchie County Schools Calendar is subject to change. We will keep you informed!
