
Reminder that tonight RCHS will be hosting two sessions for any students and parents interested in the Early College program. Current and potential Early College students are encouraged to attend.


MOVTI students competed at the state level SkillsUSA competition on March 24th & 25th. The competition was held at various venues in the Clarksburg, Bridgeport and Fairmont areas. The Awards Ceremony was held Saturday (25th) evening at Fairmont State University. Student winners are as follows: L-R Back Levi McKenna (RCHS), Tatem Elliott (RCHS), Austin VanCamp (TCHS), Andy Greathouse (RCHS); L-R Front Erica Perry (MHS), Ada Chen (RCHS).

This Friday, March 31st, is the last day to place your order for a 2022-2023 yearbook. They will not be ordering extras, so please get your orders in by the deadline.

Ritchie County High School Theatre will present the play "Peter Pan" May 12th and 13th. The theatre students are working hard on the play and would love to have you attend.


The last day to register for the spring ACT to be given at RCHS on April 15th is tomorrow March 24th. Students be sure to see Mrs. Walters to see if you qualify for a fee waiver. Visit ACT.org to register for the test. Late fees will apply!

Save the date for our Academic Learning Camp. Students in grades Preschool through 8 are invited to register and attend. This camp takes place the week of June 12th through July 7th at the schools. The time is from 8:00 am - 1:30 pm with breakfast and lunch provided. School busses will provide transportation. Look for the registration forms which will be sent home the week of April 11th.


We will begin meeting with 9th, 10th, and 11th graders to schedule for the 2023-2024 school year within the next two weeks.

Save the date for our Outdoor Recreation Day-Camp at North Bend State Park. Students in grades 2 through 8 are invited to register and attend. This camp takes place the week of July 10th-13th and 17th-20th. The time is from 8:00 am - 2:30 pm with breakfast and lunch provided. School busses will provide transportation. Look for the registration forms which will be sent home the week of April 11th.


We will be holding ACT Camp during lunch from March 27th - 30th and in the evenings on April 11th - 14th from 3:30 - 5:00. If you have any questions call the school at 304-869-3526.


Parent/Caregiver Survey - Available through April 7, 2023
Parents are asked to complete an online survey about school climate - the learning and teaching/working conditions - to help guide school improvement efforts. The results of this survey will be used to make changes in your child's school to ensure a supportive environment for teaching and learning. The survey may be completed from any computer with an internet connection.
