🎨🖌️🛝H.E.S. first graders enjoyed a field trip to the The Watering Can Art Studio located in the Grand Central Mall where they were able to paint cups. Then they had lunch and got to play at the City Park. The kiddos had a lot of fun!

📚💰Last week, the preschool classes at Harrisville Elementary School, had a great time on their walking field trip. They enjoyed hearing a story and doing a craft at the library. They also loved visiting West Union Bank and learning all about money!💰📚

🐛🦋Mrs. Laugh’s preschool class learned about the life cycle of butterflies. They loved watching the caterpillars form their chrysalises, and then break out as butterflies. They let the butterflies go out into nature on Thursday.🐛🦋

Harrisville Elementary School has the BEST cooks around! We are thankful for all that they do. Preschool shared cards and flowers, and some other classes made decorations for the cafeteria to help them celebrate their special day!

⛺️Third graders planned a camping trip in math class with Mrs. Sims. Students “invited’ 10-30 friends and were required to calculate the capacity of tents to fit all that were invited,. They had to graph tent locations to meet certain parameters. They planned out activities while working on time intervals and calculated the cost of supplies. Looks like they had a great time and got to enjoy s’mores!⛺️

🎳A couple of weeks ago, third graders worked on fractions with a fun bowling activity. The students had a blast with Mrs. Sims, and it definitely made learning fractions more fun!🎳

🧈🍞Mrs. Murphy’s kindergarten class just completed their Colonial Towns Knowledge Unit. Grandma Donna Rae assisted the students in making hot rolls and homemade butter. They put heavy whipping cream in jars and shook it to make the butter. They got to enjoy the yummy treat with their classmates.
